Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11:30 am–8 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Detroit Street Filling Station at (734) 224-8262; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is detroitstreetfillingstation.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Ann Arbor is in Michigan, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Ann Arbor follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Glad I stumbled across this place. I was looking for a beer and something light to eat. I had their Wolverine Lager and a cup of Chili. The beer was crisp, cold and delicious. I really enjoyed the chili as well! The brother was flavorful with a little bit of spice. The butternut squash, beans and other veggies were delicious. Also, I am not a vegan, but I do enjoy vegan food. The service and ambiance were great. They had a trio playing in the patio as well.

Absolutely loved this place! The food was amazing. The lemongrass tofu tacos were incredibly delicious and packed with flavor, and the spinach artichoke dip was just as good. Everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully made. The atmosphere was very welcoming and had such good vibes overall. Highly recommend checking this spot out!

I went here for the first time today and got the cookie croissant (very good) and the fried rice with general tsos tofu & added cauliflower. The service was excellent - folks working here are SO kind and welcoming! I was honestly a little disappointed with the fried rice dish. I’m glad I added the cauliflower (suggested by a nice staff member), but the dish was very salty. I ate a good bit of it, but I don’t think I’ll be able to finish my leftovers due to the saltiness. This could just be personal preference, as I’ve heard this is a popular dish, but it wasn’t for me. I would go back and try other things!

As someone always on the lookout for dairy-free restaurants due to an allergy, finding this spot was a relief while in town for business. I was impressed! Since the entire menu is vegan, I didn't have to worry about cross-contamination or "modifying" dishes. I ordered the Reuben and the soup of the day, and both were incredible;rich, flavorful and hit the spot. Brownie for dessert was average so I’d recommend skipping that. The environment is super hip, welcoming and has a great energy I didn't necessarily expect. The service was the cherry on top: incredibly friendly and welcoming. I’m definitely making this a mandatory stop every time I’m in town!

Detroit Street Filling Station in Ann Arbor, MI is officially my favorite spot in the city. As a vegetarian, it can be surprisingly hard to find places that truly excel at vegetarian and vegan food—but this place absolutely delivers. Every single thing we ordered was delicious. I highly, highly recommend the Buffalo Cauliflower Wings, Fried Tofu Fingers, and The World’s Greatest Wraps. And let’s talk about portions—they are huge. Truly some of the best bang for your buck I’ve had in Ann Arbor. The “filling” part of their name is no joke. The flavors were spot on, the sauces were excellent, and I had so much food left over that I happily enjoyed a second round at home. On top of that, the staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and gave great recommendations that didn’t miss. The interior was unique, clean, and welcoming, adding to the overall experience. Honestly, I have no notes or feedback for improvement. I loved every bit of this place and can’t wait to come back again. Highly recommended for vegetarians, vegans, and anyone who just loves really good food.
